How do I pierce my tongue at home by myself?

Go have it done professionally and just envision being at home by yourself while you're being pierced.

Of all things to pierce yourself, your tongue would be exceptionally difficult. Even if you were to attempt the un-wise task of piercing a part of your own body without experience, it would cost you more to buy the equipment and materials you would need to prevent seriously damaging yourself than it will to have it done at a piercing parlor.

Sure having pierced your tongue at home by yourself might sound badas*s, but any coolness that would be achieved from such a daunting task will certainly be thrown into the negative if you should happen to make a mistake and screw up your mouth.. they always say your smile is the first thing people notice about you...no, the first thing people notice is a mutilated tongue from an at-home self-piercing gone wrong.

Find a reputable piercing parlor please.

LOL - Seriously doubt you'll die, but you could suffer nerve damage and a serious infection.

Not to mention excessive pain. What happens if you (or your novice assistant) puts it in really crooked out of nervousness?

So if you enjoy tasting food, and want sterile conditions so you don't end up w a swollen, bacteria-festering tongue, you'd do well to find a reputable piercing shop.

The best idea would be to have a professional do it. Tongue work is getting cheaper and many of the people are great. The chances of infection rise drastically if you do it yourself.

Din't do it! U can pierce ur own ears at home, but ur tongue really needs to be done by a professional.

Get a big needle, some Orajel to numb your tongue, have 911 on speed dial, and be sure someone is there to catch you when you pass out and wrap your tongue so you don't BLEED TO DEATH!

I think it is impossible. And since you probably don't have any experience, were indeed to "experiment" with this, you would probably pop a vein in your tongue. you should probably get it professionally done.

Owie! You've got to be kidding! I hear your food tastes like blood for months after you have it done, even by a professional! Why would you want to do this yourself?
