This stuff is nasty and care should be taken.

And according to the M.S.D.S (Material Safety Data Sheet) said it should be disposed of properly.

Here in the uk will put all this sort off iodine in bags and in to another.

I'm not sure about in the USA but in Australia we can take old medicines to pharmacies/chemists to be diposed of properly.

That stuff is gross. Trash it in a thick bag, one that holds wet sponges will work. If something's bloody (container, sponge, etc) red bag it and pitch it in the haz trash.

Just throw it in the trash. If you flush it, it can stain your toilet bowel.
