The best is homemade and super easy to "whip" up.

1 cup heavy (whipping) cream
1/4 cup confectioner's sugar

put large mixing bowl and mixer beaters in the freezer while you assemble the ingredients. Put the cream in bowl and beat on high speed until cream has thickened. Stop mixing and add sugar, beat until stiff peaks form about 1 to 2 min. Good Luck and happy cooking!!

I ate old Cool Whip as a child and I have never been able to eat it or cook with it. I do love whipped cream and spray whipped cream!

Whipped cream, Cool Whip works well in a pinch, but nothing ever seems to minimize the chemical aftertaste it has, although mixing in a drop or two of vanilla before serving minimizes it.

It depends on the dessert. Whipped cream if it's strawberry shortcake, Cool Whip if it's pumpkin or blueberry pie. Cool Whip rocks by itself when it's frozen, too!
