If you have to rebuild trust in a relationship, if things are that bad: back off and think is this relationship really worth saving. If it is tell your other that you really want to save what you had and take it from there one step at a time. Also you do not tell us who messed up you or your other, nor how or what the mess up was/is. If he is doing your sister bail out now and never think of him again.

You just have to break the habit of being a bad liar and getting caught. Before you start trying to trust in yourself and your relationship ,find out what are your common goals ,if any,and see if it is worth it,only you know how serious you are and see also if there is any forgivness in your relationship, considering you are trying to make a fresh start. If I were you I would come clean and give a heartfelt apology and go from there, good luck.

YOU need to trust your instincts and give room to grow, If that means the other person making mistakes and learning by them. YOU can not keep bringing up the problem. If you suspect an untrusting moment you should confront in a nonblaming way.

You each have to be willing to start over. That is, not from the point of the trouble, but a complete new beginning.
Personally, I don't think you can do it.

Years and years and years of not being trusted will eventually wear you both out and make trying futile.
