i was thinking of making a mix cd of songs, mostly romantic ones, a few that we have heard together, some that we have not, to give to her. Is this a bad idea? would it seem weird or pointless? i just wanted her to have something to think about me when she is alone. do all the songs have to have special meaning, or cant they just be ones that make me think of her? any advice appreciated, but opinions from girls about how you would feel getting something like this from your boyfriend is the best reply.. thanks

i appreciate the reply, but what exactly makes it a bad idea?

hmm.. she likes hip hop and stuff, but i like rock, most of the songs are light rock or contemporary love songs.... so should i get rid of those and do all music her style?

How about a soundtrack to your relationship instead?
Start with a song about how it began, go through the course of the relationship so far, including all of the songs you two love. The last song can be something about it continuing. Then when you give it to her, explain each song and why it is on the CD.

It's been done before, and way better than just a mixtape.

I think it's a little cheesy, but extremely sweet. Go for it! I don't think it has to have any kind of meaning to them... but songs that you share together are always special. When you give it to her, tell her that they're all songs that make you think about her, she'll be flattered. Maybe you could make a cool cover for it with a picture of the two of you or something. Oh, and don't forget some Richard Marx songs... a mixed CD is nothing without Richard.

Bad idea. Reach down to see if you still have all your male parts. If they are all still there, thank your god and never mention this again. BTW, If she likes you half as much as you like her, she probably has already heard a song or two that reminds her of you.

Edit: If you were to make her any type of mix cd, make it one of songs you you like that you don't think she has heard and that she may like.

Well I know if my boyfriend was to give me a mix cd of songs that we heard together and we love then I would GREATLY appreciate it and feel like he really cares. You should give itt o her and let her know that you want her to think of you when listening to it. She should feel special because it is sentimental. Try adding NICKLEBACK'S SONG FAR AWAY

It would be cool, but it would have to consist of the music type I like mainly.
