Can you make phone calls from prison

Why cant they make collect calls to cell phones this sucks cuz my boyfriend only has my cell number

I think since cel phones run by a certain amount of minutes and plans nobody can call collect to them, Thats a really good question I was always wondering why too.

Yes. Collect calls only, but not to cell phones.

Yes. But not to cell phones and certain phone companies will not allow calls through from prison. My phone company does not. I have a relative in prison. They had to purchase calling cards with their own money (no money no card) and they did not work with cell phones or payphones. They can also call collect.

On the net punch in ; Inmate search + prison + the state, you will see several sites come up.If your in Kansas it's Kasper, but you should be able to find a site that will provide you with info on the person of interest.There you will find also guide lines and rules of the prison, as well as a phone number to call for information should you have additional questions.

Collect or with a phone type card the prisoner buys from the prison.They are monitored.Its posted under law enforcement why wouldn't some one know the answer.

I'm sure you can but I've never heard of it. I know that when you go to jail you get one phone call. So I'm sure you get to use the phone when you are in prision. If not, some guys are in there for a LONG time without a phone.

yes, but most prisons put blocks on any phone after 50 or 100 min.even if that person wants you to call them ? dont ask me why..but yes you can call from prison.some even let you use phone cards.....

oh god yes. there are phones in the yard, gym and housing units. it's a privilege though and can be taken away easily. collect calls.

collect calls, yes I am a long distance operator and I help place those kinds of calls everyday.
