Sure he did and with good reason. He was once a complete boxer. He had a good jab, was patient, worked the body masterfully, great defense and a great counter puncher. As his life started to go down the toilet so did his boxing ability until we have the joke that is now Scrap Iron Mike Tyson. Had he continued to use his talents as described above, he would still be a large part of the heavyweight picture.

Of course he did, that's what at one time separated him from every other heavyweight out there. Some people call it ego, some arrogant I call it "very smart".
When Tyson got beat by Buster Douglas Tyson's thought of invincibility left and never came back. Tyson won the first 19 of his fights with brute strength, pure intimidation and the mindset that he was truly invincible.

yeah and I still believe that he was invincible in his prime.....a late 80's tyson could beat any boxer in history (including Ali)
