Well, that depends. What do you mean by "rational" and what do you mean by "make a dent"?
If by rational you mean anyone that does not believe as you do, and by make a dent you mean have a negative impact, then yes, it would. We live in a world where people need to be able to discuss and debate various aspects and different points of view on any given subject. But to do this, those opinions must be discussed, mulled over, and argued. This can be done in a pleasant, non-threatening manner and I always try to show respect to others even when not being given any in return. How many others can say the same?

Why would you want to ban rational people? I suppose that would have some bearing on what kind of dent you mean???

You answered your own question. Most everyone here is a bit irrational to one degree or another. I know I am just like the rest of the world's population.
