My boyfriend is a terrific person. He's just different from other guys because he doesn't treat the girls in school badly. He's really funny and ALWAYS nice. These particular boys won't stop calling him gay (and other similar names). My boyfriend and I just try to ignore it but I know it's hurting his feelings a little. How could it not? I'd like some advice on how to get these boys to lay off. I want this to stop right now.

I don't know how old you are... but lets assume you're in high school or younger. Most boys that age are incredibly immature. Stand your ground and stick by your boyfriend... he sounds like a terrific guy. I don't think you should worry about what those losers think anyways... they have a lot of growing up to do. However, if you want to make a point, get your boyfriend to kiss you very passionately in front of a large group of them. Hopefully this get through to them that he is not gay, and that you're both very happy with each other, and they'll lay off. Good luck.

Hmm....I don't' think there is anything at all that can be done. School is a really mean place, really. I hate to tell you that, but if you try to get involved it is going to make matters much much worse. All you two can do is shrug it off and try try try not to let it get to you. The more you react the more they are going to do it. But if people think he needs you to take up for him, it will be just like a pack of dogs smelling blood. Aren't we animals after all?

You and your boyfriend don't have a whole lot of control over other people, just yourselves. Enjoy being you, and do your best not to let them get to you. Maybe your boyfriend could use his good sense of humor to find some funny responses to say back. Sometimes if you get people to laugh or make them believe that it isn't bothering you, they will stop. they are just jealous of him, because he has you. just know that you are very happy togther and the other people dont have what you have. so just be happy and ignore them
