But my toddler stresses me out always screaming never sleeping through the night. The terrible two's suck, so do night terrors. My oldest was easy the little one is stressing me out. I have no time away Hubby works 70-80 hours. Mom is out of country I am alone and stressed and know chubby~great! Any tips other then meditation~Thanks

Stress is a big factor in fat storage especially around the waist. Exercise in general can help you to reduce stress but it seems that you are doing that. Yoga may help but it sounds like you just need a brake, period. Husband needs to not work 70 hour a week because that mean you are working more then that and that isn't fare. He needs to take over and give you a break at least once a week. Yeah I am sure work is important but aren't you and the kids what is most important. You need a you day. Go get a facial, seriously that is the most relaxing thing in the world. Anyway I bet you would be way less stressed if you even knew that you had a little you time to look forward too. Do you and your husband get to do anything together? I am mad at him myself for working that much.

Where is this baby while you are at the gym?Going to the gym 3-4 times a week doesn't feel like you are out and away from the stress? While at the gym do you do aerobic or weights or group classes. To me it sounds like you need a friend in the same circumstances more than a lone gym workout. In the whole scheme of things 10 pounds is not terrible so don't let that be an additional stress, two years from now if you are careful and continue to work out, it will go away. I found that doing group workouts like spinning or dance helps more because of the talk and laughter offered during the class. Try the churches in your area - no not for prayer but for a mother's day out. you work one day for the babysitting on other days, also might find a friend with a toddler.

When you get stressed it is the fight or flight syndrome and your body secretes more sugar to help you have energy to run or fight. That is why you are gaining weight. You may be prediabetic and your body is not producing enough insulin to burn the sugar off. Check with your doctor and ask if you can get a test for prediabetice.

stress does cause you to gain weight. evnethough you workout your body is storing twice as much fat than what you are burning off at the gym. weight training and weight gain contribute to the lack of weight loss.
