Do you believe these statements about Jesus returning?:

The Lord's return will be announced by a loud trumpet blast, after which the dead (who are saved), will be raised

Jesus will return on a white horse and everyone will know him when they see him.
------------------------------------------------------------
If so, will dead bodies from 500 years ago who are nothing but dust and fragmented bones just reanimate and come out of the ground?

Will They be naked since their clothes have long since decomposed or will jesus give each one new clothes?

Also, How long would it take Jesus to show his face to everyone on earth (5billion people?)??? considering he would have to visit every continent, every country, every remote village, some people would be gone when he got there so he would have to come back later.

According to my calculations, if it took jesus 1 year to see everyone on earth, he would have to see 9,500 people per minute, 365 days straight including travel time

somebody pointed out 7 years....ok then that makes it 1350 people per minute....still a preposterous notion.

Tim: Since when do aborginees get tv? What about millions of people in North Korea? What about remote villages in africa, china, all over the middle east?
There are hundreds of millions of people who don't have TV's...did YOU calculate that before offering your ridculous rebuttal?
FACE IT, the entire story is LUDICROUS.

The Lord's return will be announced by a shout with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God.. The dead in Christ shall rise first.. And those who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet their Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:17
This refers to the Great Catching Away (Christians refer to it as the Rapture). This is not the time Jesus will appear on a White
horse. That happens when He comes back to battle the devil
and his legions at Armageddon.
Our bodies will be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye.
They will clothed in the garments of rightousness.
With the internet and satellite TV, what do you think, every body
will be able to see Him simultaneously around the world
reguardless where they are.

First of all, please read the Bible in context. Revelation was written as prophesy, not literally. As a result, there is a lot of symbolic imagery. That's not to say it is false, just that John was using a lot of metaphor in his writing.

Second, the Bible does not tell us the mechanics of how Jesus returns. Will he literally be on a white horse or will the white horse be symbolic of something else? Who can say. For all anyone can tell, he will arrive riding a white motorcycle. Will the long since dead come back to life naked? I do not know, the Bible does not say. It does say that these will be perfect bodies, devoid of sin and corruption, but nothing about clothes (except for being clothed in the righteousness of Christ). But I suspect that a God capable of resurrecting the dead is capable of making clothes as well.

As for showing himself to every person in the world, again no particulars. I will say this though, if Jesus were to come back today, every TV news agency in the world would probably cover it. Did you take that into consideration for your calculations?

thats an excellent point... thats not the way it will work though. i used to think it would but.. no.

im not sure about the trumpets one, but im pretty sure who ever started that whole thing got mixed up somewhere in revelations chapter 8.

and the guy on the white horse isnt Jesus... its actually the anti christ. check it out:
"And i saw abdm behold, a white horse; and he that sat on it had a bow, and a crown was given to hom, and he went forth, conquering to conquor".
Revelations Chapter 6, verse 2.
Ok, here are three ways that we can know that this guy isnt Jesus from that verse:

1. he had a bow...Jesus always had a sword. yeah i know that one is weak...
2. he was given a crown...Jesus want given a crown, he is already the King
3. he came conquering and to conquor... the bible says that the seccond time he comes, he will come to judge, not to conqor.

FIrst of all, God is God. That means He isn't limited by human power. All things exist for the glory of God, and He created everything in this universe. Raising bodies, or even making new ones, isn't a problem.

Second, even if Jesus doesn't use His unimaginable power for everyone to see Him at once (which, again, isn't a problem because of who He is), we're living in the days of global media. Granted, not everyone has access to a tv, computer, pda, etc., but it's getting close.

1 - Yes

2 - 1Thess 4:16 - 17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

3- Read the verse above.. it does not say

4 - Read the verse above.. it does not say

5 - Time and space is irrelevant to Christ. He is omnipresent, meaning he can be all places at once. Your calculations are based upon man and his abilities not God and His abilities.

Your thinking is so 3-dimensional, it's almost boring.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Why don't you start your skepticism where it counts, at the creation?

The Bible maintains that God began by combining time, space and matter by His energy and all things material and living came into existence.

You have a problem with God culminating things as He sees fit?

You think God is limited by the forces He created.

Do you have a problem boiling water? Of course you don't. Why?

It's because the technology is simple to you. Can you teach your dog to boil water? No. Why not? One reason is that your dog doesn't have an opposed thumb. It's downhill from there!

Can you stop the water from boiling? Yes, of course you can. Why? Because you understand the technology, you initiated the process, and you're in control of the process, and can end it whenever you want.

Now apply this same principle to God and the creation he set in motion.

This isn't brain surgery here.

You have not properly divided the scriptures brother.

The Lord will come back at the time of the rapture to call his children home 7 years later after the marriage supper and after the tribulation on earth the Lord will come back with his saints and at that time he will be riding on a white horse.

Remember that you are quoting from Revelations, the very first sentence of which says that these are presented in symbols. What are they a symbol of? You have to read the books the Apostle John wrote after he wrote Revelations. Revelations was the first book he wrote, not the last. He already knew what was in it when he wrote the others.
