Your second nameless answerer is telling my story. One day I was riding home on my bicycle (I was 50 yrs old at the time). I always looked carefully at the driver's seat in any cars I was approaching for just that reason. There was a panel truck parked ahead of me and I couldn't see whether or not it was occupied. He opened the door, I slammed into it, sprung it, whacked my head on the frame and fell unconscious in the middle of the road. When I came to, there were a bunch of people standing around just staring. I asked one person to pick up my glasses from the other side of the road before someone ran over them. When I got up, the asshole who opened the door in my face tried to tell me that it was all my fault. Bull! I informed him that state law requires a person driving that kind of vehicle to PHYSICALLY look out of the window prior to opening a door into traffic. (learned that from a car vs car accident my boyfriend had) The frame of my bike was broken and my speech was impaired for a few hours. My eye doctor says my left eye "flips" and I now have a "lazy eye" which I never had before. I did not speak angrily to him, but you bet I was pissed....and still am 15 yrs later! I KNOW I was paying attention, so guess who wasn't!

OMG I think I would give him/her a good talking to. LOL I would be mad the person has to watch out when he is opening the door. Plus I would be mad at myself not seeeing that the person was going to open the door but that would come after I thought about. I would immediately get mad.

My reaction would depend on my mood, and also the kind of attitude the other person had about it.
If they said "I didn't mean too! Really!", then I would probably say it was OK, and limp off.
If they just looked at me like I was in the way, I'd be like "Thanks alot! Try looking before you get out!"

let it go if it was an accident and the driver was sincere about his apology...or if the driver was a jerk about it, he may come back to find a flat tire or worse.
