My little calico kitty just killed a frog, brought it up to the porch, and ate half its body!
Now she is rubbing against me and being very affectionate. She made another cat friend in the neighborhood Monday. He is shy, do u think my kitty and him are trying to hunt for each other?
What should I do?

She brought you a gift. As gross as it is, be proud of her and praise her. She wanted you to have that dead, mangled frog. She is a good girl.

Yeah, my cats do that with birds. I can't stand it either. But do not scold your cat no matter what you do. If she's doing that to you, she's looking to provide for you. She's showing you that she cares!! I know, very odd way of showing it, right? Well, I use to have my boyfriend take care of the messes because I couldn't handle cute little half-dead birds.
1. Make sure it's dead and bury it.
2. Reward your kitty with love and affection
3. Be prepared, because it will happen again
Your cat is probably not hunting for another cat, most unlikely, but sometimes they'll team up for the kill... if that makes sense.
If you haven't yet neutered your pet, now is the time. She'll wonder away a lot less and will generally stay closer to your home.
Best of luck!

Previous respondents are correct - the thing about bringing the frog to your porch is your cat thinking that he did you a favor, killed some food for you and is "presenting" it to you. As for the other question, yes, your cat may be in heat and trying to make a friend. If this kind of stuff is unpleasant to you, don't own a cat. This is the level at which their brains function.

It is natural. Cats have an instinct to where you are the leader of the group. It only ate half the frog for you to eat. It was rubbing your leg to show you that it loves you and that is why it did it. The other cat must be part of the group even though it doesn't come near you.

Cats r so cute they just want a human touch. Like all they too want affection ur cat rubbing itself against u means she wants ur attention and wants u to pat her on her achievement for she must b feeling good bout hunting something she thinks is amazing and wants to show off her skills in return asking for ur approval. Ofcourse it's a animal and the natural tendency they have is to kill the prey in front of them they just do their work which is natural to them. In finding herself a new friend she wants to get cosy with him for sure and who doesn't want a partner in crime and fun :) seems like ur cat wants some fun and do the sharing too in the kill she is so skillful at.
Oh don't worry the male cat must b younger and finding a new cat must have made him a bit shy just the beginning believe me he'll get bold much much more bold. It's the same as human beings. Shy guy becomes a Macho guy in right time and appropriate company :)
Well why u need to do anything bout it i wonder I mean r u worried that ur cat wud get pregnant ? lol coz if ur afraid then get her operated or else let her have fun and give birth to the kittens once they r old enuf u can given them to those who want to raise them or u may raise them urself. As far as u give them the love they need it's all good.

Your kitty just brought you a gift, she loves you. Cats are natural hunters, I don't think there's much you can do to stop it. You could try buying her a collar with a bell on it, I don't know how effective they are with frogs, but it should help to reduce the chances of her catching other little creatures, like birds for instance. :-)

Your kitty is looking for "praise" from you. She hunted, a natural instinct, and wants you to be proud of her.

My friend had a cat that used to catch field mice and bring them home and drop them at her feet like he was sharing his catch with her.

Let them be, dear! I don't see anywhere what are you worrying for. Let them hunt, kill, share, and share with you... Remember you're the leader of the den, the alpha lioness, so they share and give you your share... That's the most of the most of signs that your cat loves you, and that neighboiring felines appreciate you also.

Frog? Yummi!

hes hunting for YOU! cats go out and kill stuff and bring it back as a gift for their master. Mine is a 15pound beast and brings back things with no heads! I'm convinced he has a secret grave sight with all these heads on sticks!

but back to the answer. he loves you and now you have a gift to prove it!

It's instinctive that the cats hunt for their pride and bring home their hunted prey for the others to feast on. My cat did it all the time. But, yes it it disgusting. I got dead mice and birds.
