The goverment approved the 700 mile wall.

People, the goverment is using your ignorance one more time, WAKE UP!!!!!! Let INS do their job and leave illegal immigrants alone and focus on the real issues.

I agree they are pushing issues that other areas should be dealing with to the forefront (like the Gay Marriage thing) when we have a war going on for too long and a psycho in North Korea that no one wants to address.

Do you wqnt the INS to enforce already existing immigration laws or do you want them to leave the illegal immigrants alone? First you must decide before putting it to the rest of us as though you were asking a legitimate question. You might look into the passing of the bill to build the fence (not wall). It was put forward and passed with as many democrats as republicans and only given 10% funding until progress is reviewed. Also, there is a 5 year time frame to put this forward and will more than likely be dominated by a "virtual fence".

Yes, of course America gets "better" around election time. That's just common knowledge. I think that the wall is a good idea since we can't keep illegal immigrants out otherwise. It'd be one thing if illegal immigrants (Hispanic or otherwise) came here and paid taxes like us, but they don't... that's why they're ILLEGAL. Too mooch off of our welfare, use our tax money, have babies in our hospitals, work low-paying jobs so shady employers can get away with paying crap, and them still not paying taxes.

Yes, stocks are good, gas is down, all of that stuff is great. The prez is just doing his job to ensure that another republican in the office.... whether or not that is going to happen is debateable. The world (and America) is a cruel place and, just like a family photo, they are trying to paint a happy picture for all to see so that maybe it can blind the public from seeing the real mess that happens behind closed doors.

I don't know where you live, but here in Arizona the illegal immigrant is a huge problem to both my city and my state.
The yearly drain on our states budget is astronomical.We can not go on this way indefinitely.We can not,will not just let someone else take care of it.We have to tell our government of our concerns.And we will be telling them loudly with our vote in November.That's how we get something done.They are listening to the majority of Americans and we want our borders secured and this endless flow of illegal immigrants stopped. I really wish that people would look a little deeper into this issue. My problem with immigration is not that I don't want immigrants to come here. I just wish that they would do it like they did when my grandparents came here. My grandparents were excited to learn the american language. They did not refuse to communicate with those who didn't speak french, they didn't make claims of discrimination and file law suits against companies that did not provide services in their "native language". They did not cross the border in the secret hours of the night escaping wrath from their own country, they came on a boat in the light of day and greeted lady liberty with wide open eyes and hope, ready to work!! Even willing to change their names so that they could integrate into this mesh society that America offers! They did not come here on temporary work visa's, miss the bus ride home, and give birth on American soil so they could get free housing, free medical, food stamps, etc. While single parents that speak english and are educated are getting turned away from jobs because they are not billingual, and refused help from the state for food and medical for their children since they are white. Did you know that the "Report Cards" that the government gives out to all public schools are affected by the children that come in and can't speak or read english? Did you know that the federal government considers it discrimination not to test them also? So by testing them your throwing your scores down the drain intentionally? Did you know that low report card scores affect funding for those schools? It's really a catch 22. So keep telling yourself it's not important! It's just your tax money going down the drain. It's american children that are being affected, without food, and without medical. Without funding for education, and just think.... they are tomorrows business owners and presidents of the United States. And moreover, it will be them who decides just how much of your social security money you will actually get!

First of all, it's ICE now not INS. Second of all, they are not being allowed to do their jobs, that's what's pissing so many people off. They are not allowed to approach a well-known illegal in the streets or it is "harrassment".....even when they just watched him cross the border! My dad has been in the California Border Patrol for 20 years and the things he has told me over the years have been appalling......you can tell them to do their jobs, they're trying, but our laws are keeping illegals perfectly safe.
