A lot of my friends are working out and the results are noticeable. when I ask they say that sit-ups, push-ups, and lifting weights is all they do. When I asked about running, they said it is not neccesary.

For me, I do not need to lose weight at all, only "tone up" and build muscle. Should/do I need to job/run??

Running is good cardio for losing weight and really good for your heart...but if you just need to tone, weights are your best bet....running will help tone your legs and stomach muscles though

What your friends said is true to an extent, you don't absolutely need cardio to lose weight (from my experience).

To build muscle you have to eat exercise and provide body with enough protein. It is not possible to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time consistently.

Jogging will not help you build muscle. So don't jog. Go and lift hard.
