Generally it means she wants something from you or needs something you have. this could be something material or it could simply be for some emotional support, while she works up the courage to go and talk to that OTHER person she likes. People always fall into the trap with the ex's failing to remember that there was one or many clear reasons why you or they chose to become ex's. Be pleasant, but dont offer up yourself to their whims.

My guess, enough time has passed that she remembers the 'good times' when you are together more than the 'bad times'. She likely feels you know her well enough to be an understanding friend or perhaps she is exploring the idea of rekindling the relationship.
Is she talking to you about friend stuff? (What classes should I take? Should I date this guy? Should I go on this trip?)
Or, is she taking an interest in your life? (Are you dating anyone? How is your job? What are you doing this weekend?)
