If you have sufficient wind for generating electricity or solar panels, then it needs to be tied into your regular electrical panel. This requires a permit and an electrician. The good news is the law requires the electrical company to purchase any excess energy you utilize.

Before you ever think Of buying a wind turbine get as much exspert advice as you can. A wind turbine on a house wont work very well because of the turbulents created by the roof. Also you can get vibration. Why are wind farms put in exsposed places (because they need clear free air to drive them. You would need to put the turbine at least 20ft above the ridge and then look for any other obsticles that would affect its performance.Look at alternativeenergysuppliesuk. com

I wouldnt bother - it would take a MASSIVE wind turbine and a hell of a wind to generate enough electricity for your house. At the moment they are very expensive as well.

There is a leaflet instore, I picked it up but it looked at first glance to provide 1 electic socket, cost nearly 2k, and did not include installation or the pole to put it on.
