I am so afraid he is going to scare my man away. What should I do. I love and respect my parents and do not want problems.

Dads are protective, it is very hard for them to let you live your life. And since you have kids and no man, he probably still thinks he needs to watch out for you. He probably blames himself for letting the last guy knock you up and ditch you? Who knows?

Tell him you are thankful he is around and there to look out for you and that you really appreciate him, but that finding the right guy is entirely up to you and even though you want him to approve, he is making it a little hard for you. Let him know that you will always go to him when you need him. He has to know he is still a big part of your life.

My dad is like that too, if I don't ask for his advice on everything I do he gets sensitive and thinks he is not needed anymore. When people get old the world is passing them by and they need to feel important.

Honey You are a grown women now! Your not a little girl anymore!! If the man you are seeing is a great guy then you better make sure your father dosent mess it up!! Letting your dad know he needs to let you make your own decisions and grow is not a bad thing!! Just be honest with your dad about how you are feeling and be nice about it!! If he loves you he will understand and back off!!! Good luck!

Huh? You live on your own but your Dad keeps butting in? NEWSFLASH: DON'T TELL DAD about your business (especially where your love life is concerned), and keep him at arm's length. Insruct the kids to do the same (not blab about your business). If Dad doesn't know what's going on in your life, then he has no reason to butt in. And if by chance he does, tell him to BUTT OUT!

You can't be so afraid to cause problems that you won't speak up! You need to talk to your dad about your feelings... it's YOUR life, not his. Even if he has the best of intentions for you, he has to realize you need your space. Be nice, but talk to him! Good luck!

tell your dad that you are a grown woman-You are a mother, its time for you to find someone who can support you and your child. tell you appreciate his concern but he needs to back off sometime, you can handle yourself and everything is going to be fine, just let you take some risks that is what life is all about.
