I like all kinds of nuts, but I think my favorite is pecans. Maybe because I like making and eating pecan pies, candy with pecans, toasted pecans in butter , cinnamon and brown sugar. Pecan clusters, Just so much you can do with pecans including pecan sandies , cakes etc.
Guess it takes a nut to like a nut, so much, huh?

I like pecans a lot...I like all kinds except not that fond of peanuts..I hate chestnuts (had one "roasting on an open fire" at the zoo winter carnival...it was nasty and I rarely dislike any food)
I ate several kinds of strange nuts a few months ago at the Ohio State fair agriculture building..I liked them all, but can't remember their names.. I'm in my 50's and had never heard of some of them and many were native. One I do remember and heard iof, but never ate was beechnut.
Cashews, almonds, walnuts, brazil (one in tthe shell gives you a day's worth of selenium but not if unshelled as they are grown in diffeent soils one rich in selenium and one not)macadamia, black walnut, pine nuts, pistachios (I like those a lot), hazelnuts..all good.
Get raw nuts at the health food store..they have healthy enzymes in them.
When you sprout nuts, they don't spring a tail like seeds and grains do, they swell and the taste changes.
Seeds I have had are pumpkin and sunflowers (not counting herb seeds like poppy, etc)
But it is best to ear raw nuts...but it is said they should be soaked but I don't do this...don't eat enough to hurt me I think..

I love all kinds. Peanuts (honey roasted too), almonds, cashews, macadamias, pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts and Brazil nuts are some of my favorites.
