I with Shaken on this one. No need to breed more beagles when there are so many at the shelter. How about adopting it a friend instead.

If you have a show quality dog that is considered breeding stock and you are doing this to further the improvement of the breed then think seriously before you commit.

If you just want to breed, go to the shelter and take all the puppies they have. They won't have to die because you wanted puppies. Spaying your dog is saving it's life as well as 10,000 other lives.

If you have to ask....you are not ready, do research! Breeding dogs COSTS $$$$...you rarely make it! Just ask your vet how much a C- SECTION costs! Breeding can put you in the pooor house if you do not know what you are doing...Vet Tech and Breeder of Min Pins! All my puppies are spayed/neutered before going to new homes!

Well a performance dog would have less need for a good show ring record to attract the girls (or more accurately their owners) but you probably will need to enter some fileld trials to prove that he's a good hunter

Please Don't! There are 9 beagles on death row JUST at the animal control nearest me, alone! Do a search, there are hundreds of beagle rescues across the country. Please, if you breed your dog, you'll be taking away potential homes from these others, and condemning them to death.

Please reconsider. Now is not the time to breed. We are facing a HUGE overpopulation problem. Don't take my word for it, do the research! We euthanized 16 million pets last year alone!

first you need to be up to date on all of your dogs shots. Have all medical records available as well as his registration papers. You could place an add on the internet or in your local newspaper. you could also consider getting him a permanent girlfriend, ie another registered beagle to make beautiful puppies with. that way you know every thing about both dogs and won't have any problems answering questions about their history when it comes time to sell the puppies.

If you have to ask any questions about breeding, then you have no right to breed the dog. Sorry that's my opinion. KG
