No, not under English law..

Rape is now defined by s.1 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

.....he intentionally penetrates the vagina, anus or mouth of another person with his penis.

Hence in law only a man can be a defendant to a charge of rape.
A woman can, however, be charged with being an accomplice to rape. Rosemary West was once charged with aiding and abetting the rape of a girl.

Also, note that the law now includes penetration of the anus and mouth. That is why it is possible for a man to be charged with raping another man.

Ask the Americans. I read a long time ago about 2 women driving around the states looking for potential victims. It came to light because only one man complained-are dared admit it!!!- to the authorities. They were later convicted of rape but it could not be proven. The prosecution alleged the guy actually enjoyed it. And he couldn't deny it. Case dropped.

It is not impossible for a women to rape a man as indicated by one of the answers.

I saw documentry on a couple of fat boots that put a giro pen into a guys bell end to keep it stiff. That way the penis would penetrate the vagina, which is rape.

Maybe not bay female gangs, but by individual women, ¡of course yes!, and more frequently than you think.

Unfortunately, inherent machism in our culture makes the raped man (generally boy) to shut up, or sublimate his frustration into false pride.

Women rappism vs men may be as common as men vs. women, but it's seldom denounced.

The legal definition of rape is '..... the unconsentual; forced penetration of the penis into the vagina.... '.
By definition therefore it is impossible for a woman to ever be convivted of rape. As such the answer to your question is a definative NO. The situation you speak of would be classed as a sexual assault.

Interesting point. Wouldn't the defence team argue that he couldn't be raped unless he actually wanted it? When females are raped, the defence could never argue that, because it is always assumed that she didn't want it, or indeed, enjoy it.
