I'm 20, female, and in college. All my friends in college are guys. I swear 90% of them have the wrong idea and think we're going out.
I went out with this guy to a party at his frat, and when I was in the bathroom, I overheard his friends asking him "where is YOUR girl?" He said she's in the bathroom.
Uh, when did I become owned?

i totaly understand, and i wish they would wake up and realize that you are not owned by any of them. They only wish thats all. Talk to them and tell them about things you like in guys and not like and make sure the one about how guys always think that you are dating them when all you want to be is friends is the biggest trun off. I am sure they will get a hint hint. GOOD LUCK

It is just an ego thing. You being his girl is more like you being one of his girls. He probably knows you are not dating, but likes hanging out with you and might think there could be something.
Careful, guy friends almost always have a motive. Some guy take the direct 'ask you out' approach, some guys play the friend route and try to get close to you hoping you will see the light and fall for them.
Unless he already has a girlfriend, always assume he is trying to get with you.

guys lie about everything, kinda like hoes... so when it comes to dumb people you just gotta use your best instincts... and how do guys get the wrong idea... hmm would I have the wrong idea if I called you a hoe, probably, but lets look at the facts, YOUR ONLY FRIENDS ARE GUYS, hmmmmmmmmmm now if you had any female friends that might help but right now your looking pretty grimm, but hope that works out for ya, and this guy your talkin bout probably just trying to be cool and since you are his guest at his frat house and so you look like his girl

If you will get acquainted with the way dogs bond, like The Dog Whisperer teaches, you will see the similarities between guys and the way dogs get their packs. You are their "girlfriend", if you try to be a friend, that is how they think. I know it is funny, and they will think it is outrageous, but it is true. They think you are in their pack, and one of them as girlfriend. Read the books or watch videos by Caesar, you will see it is true.

Are you sure you're not giving mixed signals?.To be clear just say it out loud "we're just friends" . After that you should be cool, assuming the guy doesn't have real feelings for you, cause if he does he may not want to just be your friend.Talk it out that's the best thing to do.

it sounds to me like you are dating casually and when you are out with the guy.. for that time period you are "his girl" you came with him.. you are with him. guys say that so other guys stay away.. you came with him and he wants you to leave with him. not someone else.
and.. sweety you need to wake up.. any guy that takes you out.. while you may not be touching at the beginning of the date.. wants to be doing a LOT more than touching by the end of the date!!!!

Guys have 2 type of women friends. Women they are screwing and women they haven't screwed yet. Think about that the next time you are hanging with your guy "friends".

Maybe because you are not communicating well enough. Why would you get the wrong idea if no one tells you nothing.
