Some great flying lessons tonight and a good effort at falling down for nothing to get the penalty.
Pathetic.

Shevchenko have been given the extra helpful deal.Shevchenko could not even settle in England for 2 years, and Milan have been rumoured to own loan him back,so a return to Milan is solid for him.yet Shevchenko will the two would desire to combat with Pato for the no.7 jersey or placed on yet another jersey form.

Naw. Pressley fouled him but it was only worth a yellow card. The penalty was a joke and Shevchenko should have got a yellow for diving. There was a period between their 1st and 2nd goals when we had a go at them and they didn't look that comfortable. If that tosser Miller had scored instead of missing from 6 yards it could have been a different outcome.

He is supposed to be one of the best players in the world, and although for most of the match he lived up to that reputation, he tarred it with the diving that got a player sent off....There was no need for that!!!and the same for the penalty! The match was already won...I can only assume he has spent too much time training with DROGBA!!!

Even if shevchenko didn't dive and the ref wasn't against us, I still think we would have lost.
We didn't create many chances and the announcer said something about JET LAG? get real.
We weren't on our game tonight and let's be realistic, lets wait for those italians in march.

ONE OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD? He can't buy a goal for Chelsea! He's a DIRTY, DIVING, CHEATING B!!!! Fair do to the rest of the Ukrainian team though - they gave Scotland a lesson. Scotland were never seriously near to winning the match, all we could do was to try to squeeze a draw. We had our wee bit of glory in beating France and we're still top of the group by virtue of that win over them.

re: chris cadby if theres more to life than football why the hell did you even bother to answer .
It's a question directed at Footie Fans. It was a dive yes but hey! if it was reversed we would have gratefully accepted it too.
By the way the ref was a pure Muppet!!
Not all bad though! The Nigels got beat 2-0 as well.

Anyway is it true you can get the nick for impersonating a police officer ?? if so does the same apply to goalkeepers ? and its supposed to be scots goalies that are jokes !! need to go and watch it again have not laughed so much for years.......

i was just about to ask the same thing myself when i noticed your question. for the sending off i think pressley did touch him but
1.contact was minimal
2. he certainly made the most of it and
3. caldwell was the last defender.
as for the "penalty", that was just a case of cheating, plain and simple as that. years of nurturing that "talent" in the italian leagues, throwing himself down for no reason. dont get me wrong, he is a fantastic footballer. but you lose all respect for him when he resorts to these antics.

Yes I agree, it appears to be a quality you require as a Chelsea player just look at the array of "artistes"they have, Ballack,Drogba, Robben, Joe Cole etc...
