First of all, corn is spelled with a "c", not a "k". Korn is a popular rock group in the United States. The way I like to make corn is to roast it either on the grill or in the oven with the husk on, then I take the husk off, cut the corn off the cob, mix it with some butter, seasoned salt, black pepper and garlic powder and eat it up. Happy cooking!

I have a fried corn recipe that is absolutely scrumptious

INGREDIENTS:
1 package of bacon
1 can creamed corn
1 can kernel corn, drained
ground black pepper

PREPARATION:
In a skillet fry all the bacon until crispy. Removed bacon from skillet and set aside. Drain all the grease from the skillet except enough to light coat the bottom. Pour in creamed and kernel corn and fry until hot. Crumble in bacon and a generous amount of black pepper. Serve immediately.

Another good recipe is Corn Nuggets:

2 1/2 cups corn
2 eggs, separated
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
SERVES 4

Step 1
Combine corn, lightly beaten egg yolks, flour, sugar, salt and pepper in a large bowl.

Step 2
Beat egg whites with an electric mixer set at high speed until stiff peaks form, about 2 minutes.

Step 3
Stir egg whites into corn mixture. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 4
Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of corn batter into skillet. Reduce heat to medium. Cook until nuggets are browned, about 3 minutes per side.

Ewww...those guys have consumed way too many drugs and alcohol for their flesh to possibly taste good. It'd be like eating frat boys!

Sorry. My favorite corn dish is a sort of twist on the tamale. It uses both fresh corn and cornmeal (or, preferably, masa harina if you can get it):

Get about twice as many ears of corn as you think you'll need, because you're going to cut all the kernels off and it will suddenly not look like quite so much.

Make a batch of tamal dough (if you got masa harina) or cornbread (if you got cornmeal) - the respective recipes should be printed right on the packaging.

If you made tamal dough, take little balls of dough, squish them flat, sprinkle some corn kernels on each piece, then fold the dough over to enclose the corn kernels and place them on baking sheets. If you made cornbread, then pour about half the batter into a baking dish, then toss in the corn kernels, then pour the rest of the batter over the corn kernels.

If you're making the cornbread casserole, then follow the directions on the recipe for making cornbread as far as baking temperature and time. If you're making the tamal rounds, bake them at about 400 for 11 minutes, then poke at them to see if they feel cooked. You're only worried about cooking the dough, so let that be your guide.

If you need to use canned corn instead of fresh, then make sure you drain the corn VERY WELL before using it - especially if you make the tamal rounds.

I like corn and tomatoes together so I make what I call Cajun Corn
2 tbsp butter
1/2 small onion (chopped)
1/2 green bell pepper (chopped)
1 can whole kernel corn (drained) or
the corn from two ears of fresh corn
1 can diced tomatoes
salt and pepper to taste
Melt butter then add onions and bell pepper and cook until wilted
Add corn and tomatoes, salt and pepper, simmer over low heat until corn is tender.

Wow for a minute there I thought you meant Korn the Hard Rock Band. There isn't anything taster then a corn fritter (recipe @ www.foodnetwork.com) next to a bowl of smoked ham hocks with beans on a cold nite. BTW Lorena , sounds really yummy. Wait, I meant the corn, oh brother stuck my foot in that one.
