Hi, I have never tried fasting. But I have had a boyfriend for over 6 years now - I told my parents about him and they want to get our Kundali matched if they doesn't go through then they will probably say no! I don't belive in the kundali matching I believe in my heart that he loves me very much and so do I. I want to fast for as long as it will take. I just want to be with him. I wish I can have more answers to what days are good or if I have to go to temple and do some sort of puja. Please advise me on what days (if there are) are better to fast for these reasons. Thank you very much!

Kundli Matching is an ancient vedic practice of matching two peoples horoscopes in 8 aspects of life. This forms the basis for determining whether two people are suited to embark on the most important journey of their life… i.e. matrimony.

What does that have to do with fasting??

Puja is the act of showing reverence to a god, a spirit, or another aspect of the divine through invocations, prayers, songs, and rituals. An essential part of puja for the Hindu devotee is making a spiritual connection with the divine. Most often that contact is facilitated through an object: an element of nature, a sculpture, a vessel, a painting, or a print.

During puja an image or other symbol of the god serves as a means of gaining access to the divine. This icon is not the deity itself; rather, it is believed to be filled with the deity's cosmic energy. It is a focal point for honoring and communicating with the god. For the devout Hindu, the icon's artistic merit is important, but is secondary to its spiritual content. The objects are created as receptacles for spiritual energy that allow the devotee to experience direct communication with his or her gods.

You mean kundalini? It is my understanding that the exercises involved in "matching" the kundalini are better done after marriage, not before. Take a long, long look at some of the images of gods and goddesses in embrace, and recognize the implications.

fasting isn't something to be taken lightly. It's meant for praying, it's meant for the faithful. When you feel hungry hit you, you pray for whatever it is your are fasting for. Fasting for your b/f just doesn't seem smart to me. But it's whatever you feel you need to do. It seems that you have been with this guy for 6 years...why are your parents waiting now for doing this Kundali?

GOod luck!

It's hard to fast- my friend did that and shewas very angry at the time. If you do that maybe get some apetite supressants or workon meditation or keep busy as possible not to think of food. May, now I'm hungry!

Fasting is your personal preference on what day. Depending on your religion they may have different days where you can or can't. So if I were you I would go to someone in your denomination and ask them! And remember if it is meant to be, IT WILL BE!

Nope, you've lost me here, y on earth do you need to stop eating so you can be with the one man you love, it doesn't make sense to me, if you love him, you love him end of, marry him and be done with it, I would never let my parents dictate to me about who I could and couldn't marry, but obviously it must be your faith that is dictating, you must know what you must do, so y are you asking on here
