My hubby does it and so does my dad and it bugs me out! I don't understand why they love to pick scabs. Just let it heal! Do any other men to this? If you do, why? Thanks.

I know exactly what you mean, my boyfriend loves to pick his scabs and pop his pimples or any bump he finds on himself and I think its disgusting! I've asked him why and all he comes up with is its a guy thing?! He thinks it will actually heal faster if the scab is off, I don't know where the mentality in this is but whatever I guess. As long as he doesn't do it in front of me, I won't bug him too much about it.

Scabs are the result of our bodies healing it's self. They itch, so we scratch them. Have them use a anti-itch ointment and put a bandage over it to reduce the urge to pick at it. Ripping the scab off will cause it to bleed again and will may leave scar tissue.
A triple antibiotic ointment will help speed up the healing process and help the itch, if you get them to stop picking at it. Good Luck.

They all do it. I have no idea why, really. Unless it's the male ego thinking if they do something like that it makes them a real man. HA!!!! Same thing like smashing beer cans on their foreheads. Think it's the MANLY thing to do. What a bunch of rot that is. LOL.

I do it too. Because it's a habit, if it's there and I feel it I can't help but to pick at it. SOMETIMES I stop myself.
