I'm a 31 year old male about 2 and a half stones overweight. I tend to hold most of my body fat around my stomach area. I'm due to start a cardio vascular/weights training programme, and I want to know the best type of foods to eat to support my training? I've heard that eating too much wheat/high carb foods, for someone in my situation is not good. But I dont know what to eat in it's place. I love food and need to eat something that will make me feel satisfied, and at the same time support me in burning fat fast, by training. Can anyone out there help?

You are right high carbs food will not help as you burn off some however what is left is stored around the body as fat deposits.
My advise to you is consume whey protien shakes, they are low in fat and carbs but high in protien (the make-up of lean muscle) The protien shakes give you the full stomach feeling so you can reduce your daily portions of other food sources. Do not however substitute your daily foos intake for the shakes.
Due to the protien aiding in the build up of lean muscles and the more lean muscle you have the greater the increase of metobolic rate and increase in calorie usage, this will help you lose weight.
The biggest tip i can give is don't give up, many people start a training progran expecting dramatic effects staright away. But this is the real world and that is not the case. It will take at least 6 weeks for you to notice any difference. Make sure you or the trainer (if you have one) takes measurements and records your body fat %. Then re-measure every 2 weeks and this will give you an accurate indication that your training is working.

High Fiber and protein. Lots of water. Vinegar and lemon is a good source of burning fat. This will keep you satisfied. Good luck!
