What sort of drug would have these effects?

A friend of mine is in an abusive marriage. Her husband has turned extra "nice" of late, though. He does all of the cooking and brings her food and drinks so she doesn't have to get them for herself.

She says that sometimes, especially if he brings her something after they have argued, she passes out for at least 3 hours and wakes up with a very dry mouth. He tells her she is sick and needs him to "take care of her," but I believe he is drugging her.

At first, I suspect maybe Rohypnol (a roofie), but that drug lasts at least 8 hours and does not cause dry mouth, from what I can find. What drug could he be giving her that would only last a few hours but leave her with cotton mouth? I want to give her some advice to go to the police with, and at least warn her about what dangers she might be under if he is giving her something in particular. Any idea what drug might affect her this way?

I do not live close to her; she is in Canada, I am in the US, or I would help her. She is very dependent & afraid of this man due to agoraphobia & other anxiety disorders she has, which get worse when he is around. Does not drive, has no family to turn to. Does have a job that he drives her to & picks her up from. She is the perfect victim, in other words.

i'm thinking something like xanax, valium or ativan...the oxycontin would have a more severe effect and tends to cause nausea.

Might be oxycotin or valium or Xanaz. All are prescription drugs. Does her husband have prescriptions or does he have a job that gives me access to writing scripts. She might also want to call the pharmacies around town and see if her spouse has any prescriptions. All of these can be gotten on the black market drug connection. However, I would suggest that the next time she gets a treat after an argument, that she pretends to eat the food but keeps a sample that can be sent to the lab for an analysis.

My daughter had an exceptionally comparable experience after occurring my own to a bar her friends frequented. She had a single drink and left. Then discovered herself on the different component of city, in a schoolyard section, her automobile curiously gently crashing right into a tree. She'd ought to bear in mind no longer something of ways she have been given there. A policeman got here approximately again upun the scene. Earnestly explaining to the officer what had got here approximately, he develop into variety sufficient to force her homestead. Have on condition that discovered a individual can get a blood try quickly in a while to be certain if certainly there develop right into a drug injested. In information, I additionally examine that Cranberry Juice is a organic antidote for that drug. Any moron slipping that crap in a drink faces approximately 2 a protracted time if caught.

She needs to go to the hospital and get a toxicology screen for common poisons such as heavy metals. Her husband my have "Munchausen syndrome by proxy" a mental condition in which usually a parent induces real or apparent symptoms of a disease in a child and appears very helpful and concerned. But This later explanation is unlikely. Maybe he just feels guilty for something so he's being extra nice or he just had a change of heart and realized he was an ******.....and she is having psychosematic reaction to his unusual behavior...who knows really...if she is really worried she needs to do what I first suggested.

p.s.
just curious if his niceness extended to cleaning the kitchen and washing the dishes....or if he is only nice and helpful regarding food and drink preparation.... If he was up to something like poisoning, he might just exibit the "helpful behavior" where an opportunity to perpetrate presents itself and not be thorough or smart enough to show the same level of kindness or helpfulness in all areas of daily life so as to not bring attention to food prep as he has apparently done..... am I way over analyzing this?

She should just go to a lab and pay to have a drug test done. If anything turns up, have the jerk investigated and prosecuted. He may have just taken out some life insurance on her. He may actually be trying to slowly murder her. If not, he may just be cheating on her and drugging her to keep her from noticing. If you are a true friend of hers, you should drive her to the lab and pay for the test yourself.

might be a small dose of ketamine or "special K" could also be a small dose of just about any tranquilizer. She can go to her Dr and have a Tox screen run that will show opioids and some of the other drugs that might be doing this.

My first assumption was also GHB. Wouldn't it be based on how much was given to the victim to determine how long she would be unconcious? Take her to the hospital and have some blood work done. If nothing appears, then start worrying.
