I recently tried Proactiv and, although it cleared my skin, the repairing lotion dries up my face to the point of peeling. Is there anyhting better that can keep my skin clear, but still not dry out my entire face? Would Olay's hydrate and cleanse products help at all?

there is no miracle product for acne, because its caused by inside factors ,the best to go to a dermatologist to see what your acne is caused by and make an appointment to do a facial, for a deep skin and acne cleansing. Its best if you keep the skin very clean (wash it at least 2x daily) and try MARIO BADESCU pimple drying lotion, apply it only on the pimples so it doesn't dry the whole face. And its very important to hydrate the skin,my opinion the best is a pure aloe vera gel because it hydrates the skin it doesn't contains any oil(what actually can produce more breakouts) and has a very high healing propriety.

ProActive is the best stuff out there. Just lighten up on the repair lotion...maybe only use it 3 times a week and let your skin get used to this product before using it every day. I went thru the same thing with ProActive but it is working fine for me now. :)

Proactiv is the best. Start out only using the repairing lotion a couple times a week until your skin gets used to it. It will eventually work for you on a daily basis and you'll love it!

Clean and Clear works really well. You might want to try Proactiv again adn take some face moisturizer as well.

I personally think that Mary Kay has the best acne treatment gel. If you use it in conjunction with their daily moisturizer (Velocity) it won't cause breakouts and will clear up existing acne without drying your skin out. And no, I don't sell Mary Kay. :)

arent you just supposed to put that stuff on individual pimples instead of your entire face?

well .. i wouldnt know .. anyways

the best thing to do is go to your doctor.

i would recommend St Ives, the scrub with salicylic acid or the face wash\cleanser with salicylic acid & tea tree oil

you need a good moisturizer, try an oil-free and hypoallergenic one. i use nivea soft with vitamin E & jojoba oil, but i guess it might clog your pores

OK I just answered this question to another person, but this is what I told him/her.

Don't eat or drink lactose!
There was this pharmacist ans she said don't drink or eat lactose like milk, cheese, ice cream, etc... but do drink soy milk! I know it sounds so weird! but it works! I was like I don't want to do a stupid diet! but It worked after I had it with it!
she said it comes from the inside not from out like dirt or whatever but it's usually both!
so do the diet and wash your face with warm water then cold with a face cream!
trust me it works!
