I'm going to warn you now, this is going to be harsh...
GROW SOME BALLS! There is not a single woman in this world who will want anything to do with someone who has zero confidence. I'm not just some asshole talking out of the side of my mouth. I used to be the same way. That's why I struck out alot, but I still tried to talk to them. Don't write a note, or a love letter. Don't just send cutsey emails. Find someone you don't think you have a chance in the world with and ask her to the dance. If she is polite, yet denies you, then you can do some recon and find out if any of her friends are available. Don't give up after one strikeout. Keep trying, and keep asking about other girls. Why? Because they all talk to each other. Just GROW A SET and get your *** out there.

women / girls like a guy more if he is confidence, there is no reason to be scared, every guy has gone through this, the biggest fear people have is being turned down, the only advise i can give you is to just walk up to her and ask her, if she would like to go for a walk after school sit down for a pop, or coffee, etc, the worst thing that she could say, is no, and if she says yes, good, you can ask her later that night if she would go to the homecoming, but there are lots of people to ask.

don't let your shyness get the best of you you'll keep losing out on the girls you have interest in.what evergirl you have your eye on try to find out first if they are seeing someone to save you from feeling like a big lugz, introduce yourself and ask her if she did'nt have any plans that weekend would she consider on going to homecoming with you and go from there.the more you open up the easier it will be for you .
good luck at homecoming weekend

the only way to build up confidence is to suck it up and start a conversation with the people who make u feel shy. i was shy in highschool too. but i promise u that if u put aside ur insecurity and push urself through the humiliation u might be able to build up a friendship or possibly more with a girl.

Son, you need to be secure with who you are. Shyness is either a fear of rejection or lack of confidence. Realize that you can't choose what people think of you, all you can choose is what you think of yourself. Be happy with who you are regardless of your past or what things others might not like. It is a decision to be happy. Once you are secure with your life and situation you will easily be able to talk to girls because you won't fear their reaction.
Keep your chin up!
