Drink plenty of water,
wear a hat or stay out of the sun,
don't lick your lips,
try something like Bag Balm at bedtime.

Try Satin Lips by Mary Kay- it is a 2 part system. 1st part removes the dry, flaky skin from your lips and the 2nd is a moisturizer and you can use it just like chap stick but it is so much better for your lips. Check it out below! Call a consultant in your area- she should have a sample for you to try before you buy and if you end up not liking it they back their products 100%

I have noticed something over time. When I wear a lipstick or chapstick every day for awhile, when I stop my lips get chapped and then they kinda level out over time. Then when I start to wear the lipstick or chapstick again, they are dry again for awhile and then level out.
Maybe it's the changing more than anything. I would use vaseline on your lips, and don't lick them. Drink lots of water! And when you brush your teeth, be sure you rinse after so no paste is on your lips.
Good luck to you.

Keep yourself hydrated. Lots of fluids help in keeping those lips -in good condition.
Anything with Mineral oil is bad for your lips. So you can use a lip balm, just make sure that this isn't one of the ingrediants. You wont need to use it nearly as often as chap stick.

I was always told that using chap stick can actually make your lips worse because your lips become dependant upon it. I would suggest trying lip treatment/lip protectant like Neosporin LT.

This is going to sound wierd..but STOP using chapstick. It actually dehidrates your lips and causes your body to become dependant on it. Try this:
1. Stop using chapstick for a week.
2. Use your toothbrush to gently brush your lips. This will exfoliate them.
3. If you have access to a Natural Foods/ Health Food store, buy a stick of pure Vitamin E. That will really help to heal your lips.
4. STOP using chapstick. Especially that cheap stuff from Rite-Aid.

You can take vitamin E supplements, as those add moisture to your body. Also, drink a lot of water and don't lick your lips. That makes them more chapped.

Use a clean toothbrush and gently scrub your lips with Vaseline. That works truly properly. additionally prepare Burt's Bee's lip balm sevral cases an afternoon. i attempted many different producers of lip balm yet i think of that one works the main suitable. And it has a superb tingly feeling once you prepare it.

I used to use regular chapstick all the time and I wasn't liking it anymore but my sister got me addicted to chapstick lip moisturizer with SPF15. It is great! Also, once a week, I use an old toothbrush to "exfoliate" my lips.

i find that when i use chapstick, my lips become dependent on it and i have to keep using it to keep them moisturized.
if i find my lips to be really bad, i do this routine at night while im on the computer or whatever. by the next morning theyre fine-
i drink tons of water
and then i keep applying this moisturizer called eucerin on them.
eucerin is an intensive moisturizing cream that i find to work fine. i keep applying that, rubbing in it, and then drinking water, rub it in, etc. it really works.
drinking a lot of water really is something you should do though.
and yeah, stop using the chapstick!
