On the contrary, if that darn snake had minded his own business this world would be far better.
When Adam and Eve ate the fruit it did not give them free will.
They had that already. All it did was separate man from God. Which God has been pursuing us every since.
Free will is have the choice to choose and choosing not to do what you know is wrong.

Only when I read books where humans don't have free will like A Wrinkle in Time or The Giver. I had to throw the giver away. It's just too depressing thinking that Jonah and the toddler die in the end.

Belief in religion is hardly opening one's mind.....
According to the Christian religion, there cannot be free will. It cannot ciexist with the idea that God is all knowing and that your life is already plannned out, "written in His book" as Pslam 134 reads. Cant have both. So, free will is an illusion.
How do I have free will? Either I beleive or rot in Hell....where's the will to choose something other than these two alternatives?

Considering that it is not possible given the laws of physics and neurology and computational theory for us to have free will? I imagine it'd be much the same as we already have. The ability to make a choice is not free will. Computers make choices based on their current state and their inputs all the time.

There would be no difference between that and how things actually are now. We feel like we have free will simply because we are unaware of the processes going on in our brains.

I don't have to imagine it. It doesn't exist in the first place, and even if it did exist, I would not trust my own perceived capability to choose God. I celebrate the fact the I was GIVEN my faith from a source I trust.

We do not have free will. By taking the bite of the forbidden fruit, Adam ensured that all unsaved people will be in bondage to the devil. Only by accepting Christ are we free to be what God made us to be.

what I do is my business as long as it doesn't interfere with your free will and as long as I obey the laws rules and mores of the society in which I reside. can't imagine having someone tell me I can or can not do something as I like my freedoms even though they are getting fewer and fewer every year

Free will is a wonderful gift that god gave us. He gave us the ability to think and to choose. To not use these gifts is a sin, it is being ungrateful to the one that gave them to us.
