We have no way of knowing for sure what, if anything, lies beyond death. It's a fascinating subject, and I think we all wonder about it from time to time, but it's important not to become fixated and paralyzed with fear about something that is certain to come to us all. I prefer to concentrate on making sure I make the best use of the time I have while alive.

It's normal I think to have doubts every once in awhile because so much is based on faith. But instead of dwelling on the negative take a different look at it. If you follow the teachings of the Bible and theres no heaven was your life wrong. I would rather make an effort to be the best person I can with faith in an afterlife and be wrong then to not have faith and find out I have to spend eternity in hell. Who has more to lose about being wrong the follower or the non-follower.

Well think about it this way...
What if you are right and there isn't a heaven or a hell? But you have lived your life as if there was and now at death you find it was all for nothing... what have you lost? well, nothing... you lived a great life being nice and thoughtful of others and people loved and liked you..
Now, what if you didn't believe and didn't live your life as if there was a heaven and a hell. And when you die you find out you were wrong??? Where do you think you will go? So, if you ask me... I'll hedge my bets and err on the side of caution...
lol... Love God and all he stands for for he is all there is when the is is gone.

First, you get eternal life on Earth. In Heaven you have immortal life, two different things. With immortal life, only God can cause you to cease to exist. With eternal life, you can still die from severe injury, like Christ.
Any one wanting eternal life need only look around the planet to see what life will be like after Armageddon. You see it in Hawaii, in the high deserts of California, in the Serra mountains, and all the thousands of places of beauty on this planet. You also see it in the joy of a new born child.
People have trouble fully believing in the afterlife, or after the resurrection, because there is nothing to compare it with, but that is because the churches teach them that there is only two destinations, going to heaven or burning in hell. Take hell out of the picture, since there were no words in the oldest Biblical scrolls that translates as hell or hell fire.

Nothing is ever what we expect it to be. I think the real premise of God is that you have faith that he exists and will provide for you. That is all you can do until you pass away. That is when you will know whether everything is true or not. Would you rather live your life as if there is a God and find out there is not one or live recklessly and find out there is a God? For what it's worth, the best thing to do (believers and non-believers) is treat each other with the same respect you think you deserve. Be helpful and kind. Be willing to give when you are given more than others. Don't kill. Don't steal. Don't lie. Don't cheat...etc...I think you get the point.

You're having a moment of doubt, we all have them. The important thing to remember is who plants those doubts in our minds - satan. It's odd how a lot of people believe in God but don't believe in satan. He's just as real and his evilness and ability to deceive is unlimited. That's where your faith in God comes in. He's there for you to turn to and to help you regain your strength.
If you want to regain your perspective on God, Heaven and hell, go to the best source - The Holy Bible. Immerse yourself in His word. If you're overwhelmed by the "thee's, thou's" and other stilted language that is found in the Kings James Version - Try The Message/Remix by Eugene Peterson. I love it for it's easy to read language - it's like a letter from an old friend.
God is real. Heaven is real, and it IS everything the Bible says it is. And, hell is real, and it is everything the Bible says it is.
Believing is based on faith - there is no positive proof of that here on earth - you have to go on faith. And, I know in my heart of hearts that it IS true.
I hope this is helpful, and more importantly, I hope you find your way back to believing and banish that dream and all thoughts of it from your mind.

Don't worry, we will all find out. We will all die at some point, that's when we find out. The question is whether you belong to heaven or in hell. If there is no God, then there is nothing to think about, you wouldn't feel anything but eternal sleep.

It's like I told someone about my Faith. When I die and there is nothing- what have I lost? If I lead my life like Jesus instructed, and there is nothing after death- I would have lead a very good life indeed. However if I don't try to live like He wants and there is a Heaven, which there is, I would have lost everything.
Either way I am in a win-win situation.
Live like Jesus- peace
Live like the world- no peace.

Jesus said, "The first shall be last and the last shall be first."
"The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field. But that night as everyone slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat. When the crop began to grow and produce grain, the weeds also grew. The farmer's servants came and told him, 'Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds!'
" 'An enemy has done it!' the farmer exclaimed. " 'Shall we pull out the weeds?' they asked. He replied, 'No, you'll hurt the wheat if you do.
Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds and burn them and to put the wheat in the barn.' "

If we would happen to be wrong, and I for one do not think we are, what have we hurt by living a Christian life on earth. I would rather live as a Christian, than some of the rude. self-centered, spoiled, smart alec people on here. And before anyone asks, no this is not judging. They are here. We have all had experiences with them.
