No, that is a myth that everyone's parents tell them to get them to stop doing it. There was an article in the August issue of Parenting magazine that talked about research on the topic. They found that it is actually healthier to pop your knuckles, back, neck, etc. In fact, they found that this is usually a sign that your joints are healthier than say those who don't pop anything. Also, that people who pop their joints tend to be more active and get injured less often.

Yes and painfully too since ur knuckles will also swell from fluid in between the joints.

Only if you do it frequently. It will cause wear and tear on your knuckles - which will led to arthritis.

If you do it infrequently, you have nothing to worry about.

That was asked recently. No there is no evidence to suggest it does, but it may cause other hand problems later in life.
