I know it's better for guys to pay for dinner on first couple of dates, but my question is when can we go dutch? My wallet is hating me.

well you should tell your date that you don't think it's fair that you have to pay for EVERYTHING and if she doesn't agrie no matter how much you like her it's over

Whenever you want to. Just tell her unapologeticly, and self-confidently, that you are running low on money and that you think that she should share some of the burden of going on a date (or better yet, cook for her in your house).

Either that, or find some free or inexpensive things to do on a date besides dinner. Check the local paper for free or cheep weekend events. You can broaden your mind by trying different things, and your wallet should thank you.

My rule.

If she offers to pay for anything in the first 3 dates I politely refuse.

After that I only refuse every other time.

If she doesn't make the offer by about date 8, I start dropping hints. Fore example, we spend many more nights at home watching movies on the couch, and i drop light complaints about being broke. Most get the hint.

Of course, once every couple of weeks I'll still take her out somewhere nice.

If its obvious that your date is interested in you, tell the truth about your financial situation. DO NOT LIE!If you end up together...This could and will damage your relationship in the future. In the history of man and woman relationships, this will most certainly come out and cause a trust issue. Be HONEST and SINCERE!!! Say whats on your mind. I'm sure she'll understand and respect you for telling the truth! GOOD LUCK!

If the woman asks you out, she is supposed to pay these days. Usually if you are in a stable "OFFICIAL" relationship, going dutch will come soonafter. If you ask her to go to a concert or sporting event, gently ask her to pay part of the ticket price, especially for good seats.

... lol ... well that's a hard one if you've been paying every-time already ... she might expect that now ... but if you just be honest and let her know ... I'm sure she wouldn't mind paying for herself ... now if you're asking her out on dates " can I take you out tomorrow night " ... to me that's saying the guy wants to show me a good time and most likely he'll be paying ... !

I usually ask the guy if he wants me to pay for anything ... and go from there ... not all girls think we should pay so it's better to ask the girl what she thinks ... that way you both are on the same page for future dates ... !

If you're thinking of going dutch after only a couple of dates, then you don't really like her that much. And she wouldn't appreciate you bringing it up now...too late. I'd let her bring it up instead, unless you want to insult her.

You can stop paying for dinner only, when she offer.
