I have a creationist friend who loves watching nature shows and it hit me. Doesn't it drive you nuts watching those? Almost invariably they mention the word evolution somewhere in the show. Do you feel sorry for the narrator having to say that? Can you just ignore it?

Creationists have no problem (usually) watching nature documentaries, and most rather enjoy them. We might hear the narrator say a certain behavior evolved out of bilogical necessity, and disagree with that statement. However, it doesn't change the fact that the plant, animal, trait exists - We enjoy the documentaries for their facts, and generally ignore the "commentary" or evolutionary theory aspect of it.

Jay Z: ... What? The NEA isn't indoctrinating anyone, they're telling us what science has taught them, because as much as you all claim that Evolution is guesswork, it was theorized with the scientific method. Creationists then call Intelligent Design Theory "real science" when in fact it doesn't have the backup to even be called a theory. There's no scientific method behind ID, they just said things are too complex not to be made by God.

THAT is guesswork. If anyone is trying to indoctrinate, it's you guys.

If the Fossil record shows weeds and thorns in the fossil record, then according to Gods word, the fossil record came AFTER the creation of Man and After Man sinned, I don’t see any other alternative to this viewpoint if we come to the Bible as the Bible, if we bring mans theories and try to say well WE know that Dinosaurs existed Millions of years before Man, so what does the Bible say is it Right, not good, see I TRUST the Bible as Gods word MORE than I trust Mans fallible theories, so what I like to do is read the Bible and take that to Mans theories and say right what does the BIBLE say about this theory, ahh not a great deal, it says about land animals and man existing at the same time, it doesn’t mention dinosaurs at all, maybe because the word dinosaur was only coined in the early 18oo's although it does mention animal with tails the size of cedar trees(their BIG). I believe that Science was seduced by the Theory of Evolution around 1860; I feel that they were seduced into a belief that has become its own religion, with God replaced by sheer arrogance. If I argued with a scientist(apart from the fact he would ask how I saw fit to debate with him, by nature of my lack of qualifications) he would accuse me of having a closed mind and a blinkered view, I have thought long about this seemingly obvious stance, and realise that it is a nonsense. My view of his is the same, He would not allow my view on a range of scientific theory, namely the 'big bang' theory (In the beginning there was nothing, and then it exploded), he would argue that was fact, I don’t have the luxury of saying that to him about Genesis.

How can any intelligent person accept Genesis as fact? I reread it the other day, and I quit when I got to the point where God created the earth and the fermament and the fermament was heaven. It sounds like it was written by a dim child.

There is not necessarily a contradiction between evolution and creation.

God could have used evolution as a mechanism for creation.

But what is repugnant to Christianity is Darwinian natural selection, which claims that all things came through unplanned random variation.

somewhat some the Christians i understand who're huge on clever layout do not purely take it on the authority of the minority of scientists. extremely, they take it on the advantages of their arguments. yet I comprehend the Christians i'm speaking approximately are in all possibility in the minority. maximum Christians possibly reject evolution neither using data, nor on the authority of the minority of scientists. extremely, they reject it on the inspiration of a perceived inconsistency between evolution and their thought especially creation, which they base on the Bible or another church authority. stable question, by making use of the way.

Yes. It is an indoctrination scheme of the NEA. If you tell a lie often enough, people will begin to believe it and accept it as fact.
It is another way of controling the masses.

i don't think they're intelligent enough to go beyond 'look at all the pretty flowers and fuzzy animlas that God made"

it's just more mindlessness for christians. they look at the pretty pictures and ignore the intelligent words.

I enjoy watching all the irreducibly complex mechanisms that couldn't possibly have evolved and are a testament to the majesty of God.
