[I] don't know but when you figure it out, let me know. I still deal with the pain of why who I thought was a soul mate didn't want me in the end. She will always be there in my head though. I have a wife though that unconditionally loves me who will be my best friend to the end.
[B]y the way I just read what you wrote on my question. Sorry to hear about what happened. Thanks for your thoughts. Maybe one day my pain will heal and so will yours. Life continues so let's make the best of it with the people who are in our lives today.

I think that u feel the way u do because it takes time to get over someone u care about. The longer u go without him the easier it will be over time to get over him. and if you wait and stay strong you can open the door to someone who is meant for you. You were with this guy and cared about him alot and like it or not you will have a soft spot for him for a long time even if u end up meeting someone else. It just takes time for the feelings to go away or it takes meeting a certain someone who helps take your mind off of the other guy. The key to getting over someone is to just give it time and be patient.

Thats a tough question. Im in the same situation, i was with a guy for 5 years and decided it wasnt right for me i broke up with him and found someone else and now i am truly happy and in love. but for some reason i still have feelings for him. he was emationally abusive to me and still is. i think that once youve spent so much time with a person, even if it wasnt ment to be thell always be that part of you that still cares about him and still thinks about him. it takes time but the feelings will soon be a memory in the far back of your head. although always there less obvious. i dont think you can love someone and be someone and then as soon as its over forget they excisted. Dont beat your self up over feelings you shouldnt be able to change. It will get easier.

Try to keep your mind off of him. Its hard but eventually it will work you will start thinking of him less and less. Also when you start to feel really bad think of the reasons you two are not together or the bad things he did it will help you to remember why you aren't together.

Things can't change so easily! You have to change them. Try to engage yourself in some tasks then you'll see that you've diverted your mind in someother direction.

Because, you simply can't make your feelings disappear............
I'm going through the exact same thing you are.........and I also tell myself daily to forget him.......and I can't .......yet I know we will never be together........

Because it takes time. Busy yourself with projects and/or hobbies and try meeting new people.

Duh, you still love him. Think about what happened between you both. If it was really hurtful and cruel, then forget him. If it was irrelevant, then try to give it another chance.
