I dont consider it to be wrong, however if he is gay, he wont feel the same way about you. Gay men cant be transformed into straight men, may bisexual, but never striaght. I personally wouldnt risk getting my heart crushed over a man who has no interest in women whatsoever no matter how sweet he is.

GAY IS GAY IS GAY IS GAY. HAPPY COMING OUT DAY!!! (That's today!) Seriously girl...this is NOT something he is going to change. Trust me, if he could...Im sure he would have YEARS ago. Being gay in America is not a pie walk. Just as you have unexplainable attractions towards hottie gay men, he has the SAME ONES! Tell him, get it out in the open, laugh about it and then make him go to a bar with you (a non-homophobic one, hopefully) and have him help you meet a nice straight man.

MAYBE it is not that u r in-love with him it is just that u see all of his good qualities that u would like in a man and misinterpret that as love. it is a dead end road because he likes men and there is nothing that u can offer him that he likes. it think it may be more infatuation instead of love. explore the world do straight men u probably don't love this guy like a boyfriend but more as a Friend that happens to be a boy.

Is it love or just an attraction? You may be attracted to him, but unless you really know him and can accept him for the way that he is, then "love" is probably too strong of an emotion. That said, there are lots of parents of gay children who love them.
