I'm so tired of eating chicken lol. But everytime I want to cook a steak my husband says its no good unless you cook it on a grill and since we don't have a grill I'm looking for another way to cook a great steak thats not tough before I start growing feathers out of my butt from eating so much chicken. Thanks : )

Have you tried broiling it? not only does it seal in the juices from the steak(if you don't over cook it) but it cooks the fat that is usually blubbery, crisp and gives it excellent flavor, try rubbing it with salt and pepper a dash of Worcestershire sauce and finely chopped garlic.Set your oven on broil and let it warm up before you put the steak in. broil it for med rare for about 6 Min's on both sides and walla you are ready to show your husband a trick or two. If the grilling is such a major upset for him try the new indoor grill by George Forman it cooks just like the BBQ and is really awesome for quick grilling with less than half the mess. there is however a little clean up involved when trying to wash the grill so be sure to us your Pam spray before you use it. hope this helps good luck and good eats.

Use the broiler section below your regular oven to cook the steak. You can season it like you would on a grill but watch your cooking times as broiling cooks very quickly.

We ran out of propane a few weeks ago and made some great steak this way.... it may depend on the cut of meat as well. You heat your oven on broil and put a cookie sheet or foil on the middle rack, place another rack at the highest level. Season your steak accordingly and place them on the highest rack, cook to your liking.... it works really well and its not as messy as it may seem! I saw it on good Eats one time.

Your oven should have a broiler. Season the steaks with some McCormic grilled steak seasoning, and broil. Do not overcook, as that will make them tough. They will be delicious that way. Enjoy!

I pan fry my rib eyes. First I marinate them in pineapple juice, soy sauce and Dr Pepper. It really does tenderize them. I marinate them for about 2 hours. Then in a hot frying pan place the steak and cook for about 3 1/2 minutes turn over and cook for another 3 1/2 minutes.
You can also marinate them in Italian dressing. I really like the other marinate sauce.
Good Luck

melt a little butter in a frying pan, get it sizzling then add the steak, cook for 3 mins on each side for medium rare and it will be nice and tender, don't buy the thin pieces of steak as thats dry, get the thick frying steak it's delicious, if you can medallion steak is the best and it's not that expensive its got no fat in it whatsoever.

Cook it on the stove, in a non-stick skillet. Cook it slowly with water, Worcestershire sauce, and whole baby mushrooms. Even throw some onions in there for added flavor. It will be tender and juicy, and serves great with steak sauce and a baked potato and salad!

Put the steak in a cloth, then get as many people as possible to sit on it and let rip, after a couple of days it will be cooked and taste fantastic.

Broil it, just put it on the top rack of the oven when its ready and cook it on each side depending on the thickness of it, while you are cooking dont close the oven all the way, leave it parcially open or it'll get to hot inside.

Sear it in a hot skillet and bake for about 15 min. @ 400, when you bake it try mushrooms with butter added or oinions. Oh man ya got me going now, steamed mixed veggie with Hollandaise sauce, beef risotto, flaky bisquits, field green salad, somebody stop me before I get to dessert
