Straight answer: it depends on how much money you earn in the USA, if you are married, and how many children you have. Expect to pay 33% of your income if you make between 200,000 and 300,000. You may pay only about 17% to 22% if you earn between 20,000 and 100,000. There are many ways you may be able to reduce your taxes too.

Compared to Europe and other countries USA taxes are not high.

That will depend upon whether you are considered a resident alien or a non-resident alien. The rules for determining that are pretty straight forward but you should have a look here to make sure that you have the correct status:

http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc851.html

Once you've determined your status, that will determine what type of tax return you will file and whether or not any non-US income must be included in your return. Here's a link to the appropriate document at the Internal Revenue Service website that will help you out a lot:

If you have any further questions, you should consult with a tax professional, either a tax attorney or a CPA. You may not get the best advice from the tax perparation chains -- personally I'd avoid them whenever you have non-standard tax questions or problems.
