Isn't the King James of the "King James Version" King James I who in 1607 entered into a documented homosexual relationship with Robert Carr, the 17 year old son of Sir Thomas Carr? And, the same one who in 1640 wrote to another male lover, George Villers, "I desire only to live in this world for your sake?"

Maybe they should have called it the "Queen James Version?"

Wow! I never knew that. Why did they name it after him. I just verified from wikipedia that its the same King James you are talking about.

The King James Version was not translated by the King. It in it's authenticity is 99.999999 percent accurate with the Dead Sea Scrolls the only problem being the book of Daniel that had edges torn and missing scriptures due to damage to the parchment.

the King was the one who paid for the King James Version. common practice to name the version after the one paying the bill at this period in history.

King James paid to have the translation done... or rather he used tax money to pay for it... He did not have any thing else to do with it... it was atributed to him for political reasons.... dispite that, it remains the best english translation to date...
