My bf and I share a checking account.

Anyway, he usually looks at the statements, I don't usually bother, but last month I noticed on the statement there is a $15.00 charge on there, I looked at the statements from previous months and discovered it is on there every month.

Anyway, it is a PAYPAL RAPIDSHARE withdrawl.

He says he doesn't know what it is. I think he's full of sh!t.

Is this a fee for a dating or a porn site?

Contact PayPal and find out. Tell them you've noticed a rapidshare withdrawal from them on your checking account. Provide them the account number and see what the withdrawal is for. If it's not something you or your boyfriend want, then cancel it. Also, try finding out if it's a mistake by asking PayPal how secure they are and whether a mistake could have been made regarding your account. It could also be a mistake - don't forget that sometimes these things happen, especially if you've purchased things online.

If it's not a mistake, your boyfriend will then have no choice but to confront you and own up if he plans on keeping the service, or just stand by and let you cancel whatever he's ordering completely.

RapidShare is a One-click hosting site that operates from Germany and is financed by Google AdSense and by the subscriptions of paying users. It also claims to be the world's largest in its scope.

It is a free service, and any user can upload files of up to 100 MB without registration. The user is then supplied with a unique URL, which locates the file and enables anyone with whom the uploader shares it to download the file. Free downloaders are forced to wait 20 seconds and about 10 seconds more for each 10 MB (however, with files under 500 KB there is no waiting). As of 9/17/2006, non-premium members are required to wait a total of 170 seconds.

Registration and payment brings additional benefits such as download of several files simultaneously, queue-skipping, and the facility to interrupt and re-start download. However, even Premium users have no way to search the server for content (all files have to be downloaded by following a given URL).

sounds like a porn site if there is no way of telling where it comes from then thats what it is. When you subscribe to a porn site it always says that it will bill you descretly(not giving the name of the site) but for legal reasons they have to put something down. If you would really like to know where it is go to your bank tell them that there is something wrong blah blah and you would like to know where the money has gone to they have to by law give you a telephone number and a mailing address.

could be payment on most anything with paypal now

talk with him and advise him that if expected to share equally in expenses then nothing should be hidden - regardless of how frivilous

since is repeated, chances are it is something online that he is either purchasing or using

best wishes!

rapid share is a site that allows you to download movies from it.

and yeah there is a LOT of porn on there..

surprise him and bring home a porn DVD and ask him to watch it with you and then when its over ask him if this isn't more fun than downloading it and watching it by himself!

Call your financial institution and have them look up just what the withdrawal is for. They should be able to do this for you, (since your name is on this joint account, right?) right over the phone!

Why are you doubting him so much? Give him time.If you find out something leave him but if not stop doubting him or else he'll leave you.
