This is my boyfriend's first birthday since we've been together. We've been together a month and we love each other. My mom suggested getting him the cologne he wears. My friend said that was good too. She helped me shop for him and we got him Axe bodyspray and shower gel. She said it was okay to get him the shower gel.
Then I was going to try and find him a shirt, but I didn't see any I thought he would like. They had some nice warm shirts at Old Navy, but the design on them was military related or something and I didn't know how he would feel about that. Since I couldn't find him a shirt, I decided to get him a gift card from EB Games since he likes video games.
Do you think this is okay for a birthday? Cologne was definately something I wouldn't have thought of for a present, but they said it was a good idea. Please help me with this. His birthday is tomorrow and I still have time to return it if it's not good.
Have any of you had experience giving or receiving this?

I think its a great idea (love to smell cologne on men) As long as you know its the kind he actually wears he should love it, remember its suppose to be the thought that counts!
The shower gel stuff is cool too guys sometimes won't buy it for them selves but then when they get it from some one and try it out they actually like using it,...I think you did good sweetie!
