an older (half)brother who was about 22 years old who you met on a few occasions about 3 years ago and you both really liked eachother but, then like your Dad (also his Dad) he has not made contact for about 3 years and has been MIA (missing in action).

Would you want to see him?

Would you want him to be more involved in your life?

Or would you be fine if you never saw him again?

if he's my half brother I would want to see him...although I'm not sure how much a 13 year old and a 22 year old would have in common (except the fact that you have the same dad).

I would want to at least hear from him. A visit, a phone call would be cool. Maybe see if he could be a part of my life in one way or the other even if I didnt want him around everyday. I have several 1/2 brothers and sisters and I want to keep in touch with them even though we are in the same situation you are (MIA dad) and maybe dont see them all the time. Family is family. So, if this is you and you are wondering if you should try to contact your sister then YES you should. Even if it is just a phone call to catch up.

i would want to see him and for him to be more involved in my life, but i think i would be fine if i never saw him again. well, i would probably think, oh he didn't like me.
but 3 years is a long time and id probably already think that. it might be too far gone for him to contact me.
but it would be nice to see him again, show he cares.

Same thing happened to me I was about 20 and she was about 8, meet her once, have never seen her since......sometimes it wears on me....most time I don't think of her.
Your question just reminded me I had a sis......you should try to link with that person, so you two wont end up like me and my 1/2 sister.

Not sure how I would approach this. You should talk with your mother about this matter and then maybe the both of them can speak with you further if possible.

I wuold be okay if I never saw him because he doesnt care about me so why should I care about him. I will have feelings but I wont get all wrapped into them.
