Yesterday I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and a short time after my lower right side of my face was numb. I didn't put the two and two together, but the same thing happened today after I ate a pb&j... I have never had any intolerance to either, so what could this mean?

Sounds like an allergy. I would discuss this with your doctor or allergist to be certain. Even if this is only a mild thing right now, it could signify a larger problem for something else latter. When you see the doctor and ask for a complete allergy test, it will irritate your skin, but nothing severe. Ask about allergies and symptoms concerning peanuts, nuts, maybe the type of jelly, or even the type of bread. See a doctor, and good luck.

Peanuts are a highly allergic food for some people. I'd consult your doctor and/or an allergist. Until you find out what's going on don't eat anything with peanuts in it. You have to be careful because some restaurants use it as a thickener so ask. Not to be melodramatic or anything but people have died from "hidden" peanuts, peanut oil or peanut butter.

Sounds like you are allergic to something in the sandwich. My first guess would be the nuts in the peanut butter.

There are tons of people allergic to nuts of all kinds. This may get worse at every occurrence, so you might be careful about eating any kind of nut. If it does happen again, try taking an antihistamine to see if it takes the swelling down.
Good luck to you and be careful!
