If you don't like a girl back they'll act different towards you like: not speak, ignore you, be rude to you!

It's a very simple problem, really. If you like someone else, but that person does not like you, there are only two conclusions you can draw:

You can conclude that the other person is correct in not liking you because you do not have qualities that are likable. A person who came to this conclusion might either be made depressed by the confirmation of their fears, or angry at being reminded of things over which they feel they have no control. So there's a potential for blow-back there.

Or you might conclude that the other person is incorrect in not liking you because you do in fact have many likable qualities. In this case the person can only think that the disliker is prejudiced, imperceptive, or stupid. And while a clever person might be relieved that they have NOT made the acquaintace of such a person, it still stands to reason that they might continue to hold these supposed negative characteristics against the disliker for some time.

The bottom line, really, is that the liker is hurt emotionally for not being liked back, and he or she comes up with an explanation for the hurt which may or may not be accurate. Either way you may end up with some negative consequences.

But it's not just men. We can see that from a typical FEMALE response which suggests that men act that way because they have weak egos. A classic 'I am good so you must suck' response.

Hope that helps! ( :

It's the male ego - it's very fragile.
