the end? As a Christian I believe in Bible teachings that say it is coming. But that is not my question today, please leave the Bible out and state if you believe the end is near and what you see as the cause or causes that will bring us to that end. Nuclear War/accidents? An event like Krakatoa? A meteor? Other natural disasters? Or do you think that there will simply be a population adjustment. Such as happened with the black death, famines, spanish flu, etc.

Some people always have to refer to the Bible. The question that I asked is just how it might happen, not why. Do you know that the earthquake that caused the tsunami, registered over 9.0 and made the earth "ring like a bell" for many days after. And it actually slowed the earth day by about .20 of a second? Surely a disaster will happen, it is not if but when. I only wanted your best guess. As I said I believe in the Bible but was asking about the what you thought the actual event or events would be. Surely we will be hit by a big meteor again, not if but when. My question was not intended to invoke fear, just reality. Thanx for your answers.

I believe we are so close to the end that if people could grasp how close it was it would truly be life changing!
look around, it seems things are falling apart, when in fact they are only falling into place.

Yes, of course the end of the world is nearing. Every minute that passes brings us 60 seconds closer to the end.

I don't believe the world will end soon, although it is quite possible that such could happen. As for the population adjustment, the population has been surging up in recent times, but many projected figures show population leveling off on its own. One reason I could see for that is the spread of capitalism. Before capitalism, people needed to have large families in order to have a team to work the fields etc. Now that people work for wages, large families aren't necessary and can even be a liability.

Yes, I think very very soon. Well, look which leaders just met in Cuba for the Non-Aligned Movement summit. The leaders of Pakistan, North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, Algeria, UN sec.

All of these countries/leaders have a couple things in common: They all hate the U.S. and they all want a one-World economy. These countries represent the "axis of evil." I think Iran and North Korea were exchanging nuclear technology info.

In short, I think Iran will arm several "sleeper cells" inside the U.S. with "suitcase" nuclear bombs. If they hit several large cities they will kill millions of people. The U.S. would cease to exist as a world power. The U.S. would be ruined, do to financial collapse. The "evil" dictators of the world could easily take over. They will immediately establish a one-world government, currency, economy, and if it's Iran, a one world religion.

Do you think this is far-fetched? Iran is just months away from having enough uranium enriched to the point of no return. They are led by a insane person who hates the U.S. and Israel like no other. He wouldn't hesitate to put the "great and little" satans on their knees. I believe the moment they have the nukes ready they will use then immediately. These actions might set off a chain reaction of retaliatory nuclear attacks across the world.

This is not several years away from happening, it is several months. We need only look at the world around us with clear eyes to see that.

The world is spinning slower and slower and tilting a bit off it's alignment. There is more volcanic activity now than at the beginning of creation. There is the possibility that each axis will switch polarity (in theory) that by flipping north to south. This would bury the world.

But I feel we have 200 years left before the end. Our grandchildren's grandchildren will not experience it.

I don't know for sure if the world's about to end, but I do see the end of America on the horizon. We've been sold out by the government. We are no longer self- ruled. We've taken on an agenda of world domination. And we've lost sight of what this country is supposed to stand for. If we are not blown to hell by one or more of our angry opponents, we destroy ourselves with mass complacency.

The world is not ending until earth gets hit by an asteroid or the next ice age.

The world is doing fine. It's going to be around long after we're gone.

Fear is yet another tool that religion uses to play on human insecurities to gain converts.
