I can't tell you without knowing the manufacturer. You can check out any pill on rxlist.com They have a place where you can check imprint codes on pills. They are a great resource. You could also call a pharmacy. They can identify any pill you might have. The National Poison Center can also identify pills. First let me say that the 500 mg and 750 mg your talking about is the acetaminophen content of the pill and not the hydrocodone content. 5/500 is 5 mg hydrocodone and 500 mg of acetaminophen, same as 7.5/750. According to the website, vicodin 7.5/750 has ES stamped on the back and the 5/500 does not. I don't recall seeing that when I give them to patients but with several manufacturers the tablets can be different. Look up the manufacturer and go to their website.

vicodin 750 are stronger...the numbers on the back let the pharm. and co know what they are...
