Depends on the woman I would suppose and what you mean by procreating. A woman may be 50 years old and past menopause, but she may still be open to adoption or having a surrogate. Advances in medicine are also allowing older women to extend their child-bearing years. Some women don't want to have children at all, and are already at the stage when they lose interest in procreating.

Personally I think many lose interest after they've already done it. Or they're too tired to start.

It depends on the woman and not her age. If she was brought up to think men are all the same and only want one thing then it's a turn off for them. There are some woman brought up to believe all men are no good. Their mother taught them to hate man. Then there are some that think being with another woman will bring them happiness's. So they don't want to procreate. Go figure.

I would think 40 or so. My wife is 37 and is going through some sort of early menopause it looks like. We want to have another child, but it looks like she is going into early ovarian failure. I think most women quit thinking about having more kids at around 40 due to upcoming menopause and the associated risks that are known from pregnancies at that age.

Shoooooot.... Im only 26 and I've been trying to get pregnant for 3 years.... with no luck. I have NO kids and really do want one of my own, But I am giving up and losing interest. I think each woman is different. I am still young, but when something like this stresses you out for so long... Sooner or later you have to decide if its worth it... and if NOT knowing if its worth it or not is a decision each of us make on our own terms.
