Red hair is fun. However, before you do it, you should know that it's very difficult to maintain. It tends to fade quickly, show roots more clearly than other colors, and if you want to change from the red it's very difficult to cover up/fix.

That said, if you think it will look good with your skin type, go for it! Maybe you could try a temporary color first to see if you like it.

It depends on your skin tone. Also since your hair is a dark brown, it would probably have to be a darker shade of red with high lights in it to look good. Don't go for the brassy red, not cute.

For best results you'd have to bleach your hair first for the red to take well. Or else you'll end up with reddish dark brown.

I think red hair is gorgeous but natural almost always looks better. If you are wanting red hair but aren't for sure just get a red tint to it (you can go to Wal-mart and buy it) and see if its going to work with your skin tone and so forth. Good Luck!

I dyed mine copper red and I love the way it looks on me. Of course, that's only because I have naturally pale skin and a few freckles. If your skin is on the darker side, I wouldn't try it. It would look very fake.
